The Department of Chemistry offers research programs at the Ph.D, M.Sc., and Honours levels.
The reaearch training that the Chemistry Department offers, is an exciting and challenging step towards your future career. Successful completion of a research degree will enhance your professional development and increase your ability to secure employment.
These web pages contain information on the wide range of projects at the research level being offered by staff in the Department. Interactions between staff members and several companies and research organisations occur and some research projects result from these. References given at the end of each project are available from the staff members concerned.
Individual staff members are eager to discuss their work and will be pleased to give you more information on their projects. Please take the time to study the projects carefully. You are encouraged to seek further information from at least three staff members so that you are able to make an informed choice.

In addition, there are also several projects of particular relevance to students studying Analytical & Green Chemistry. However, while some projects are tailored especially for students of Environmental Science, most can be adapted for this purpose to suit a student's own interests and strengths.
